Carl Selph


Carl Selph is Florida Supreme Court Certified as a Circuit Civil and Appellate Mediator; Carl was the first Florida Supreme Court Certified Appellate mediator in the 14th judicial circuit. Additionally he has received Florida Supreme Court approved training as a mortgage foreclosure mediator and is recognized by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as a Condominium Mediator. Mr. Selph has been in practice assisting individuals and corporations with solutions to their business problems and needs for over 30 years.

Mr. Selph is a former member for the Florida Legislature where he received numerous awards from numerous groups and associations for outstanding legislative and civic performance, was a part time professor at Stetson University, served as the managing partner of a successful Certified Public Accountanting practice, was a licensed residential builder and owner of a homebuilding company, currently holds an active Florida license as a Community Association Manager, and is a managing member of SoMax Group, LLC, a professional educational and pre-licensing testing service.

Mr. Selph, learned to fly during his service as a pilot in the United States Army, he has continued his love of aviation by being involved with the start-up and operations of several air charter companies. He currently holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with type ratings in 4 turbo-jet or jet powered aircraft. Mr. Selph has the aviation knowledge and experience to understand most aviation issues that would be referred to mediation.

Although Mr. Selph is a Panama City based mediator, he has conducts mediation conferences through out Florida.


FEES.


Fees are $250.00 per hour per party for Circuit-Civil mediations and $300.00 per hour per party for Appellate mediations with a two hour minimium; the fees and cost of mediation are divided equally among the parties to the mediation. When travel outside of the Panama City, Bay and Walton county areas is required, a per diem rate and travel time is added to the normal hourly fee.

If a mediation conference is cancelled within 96 hours (4 days) of the scheduled mediation, there will no charge and any deposits will be refunded.
